Major functions of the department include:

• Mechanical design performed with AutoCad and Solid Edge for 3D parametric drawings
• Engineering calculation and quality control
• Finite element analysis and simulation
• Tests and technology validation
• Research and development on technologies prior to production
• Vacuum and high pressure vessel design (ASME)
• Thermal exchange and agitation calculations
• Aseptic equipment design
• Structure calculations for platforms and catwalks

The department is also responsible for optimizing material preparation prior to production.
